Diary of Love (XXX Adaption of “The Notebook”)

We really enjoyed this stupid RomCom type adult movie. Diary of Love (2012) was super cheesy, bad special effects, and acting was a little uneven, but it tried hard, had an actual story that had some substance, and made us laugh while getting us turned on with some cute lovey-dovey romantic scenes. That’s all we’re asking for in a movie an this one hit the mark, even if it was uneven at times.

Here’s the Amazon description (though I don’t recommend buying from Amazon as sometimes they substitute the softcore version of these types of movies, and we’ve never bought an adult movie from them):

Diary of Love: XXX Romance Adaptation of The Notebook DVD. When Ally and Noah get together as a summer fling it quickly sprouts into true love. Unfortunately Ally’s rich upper class parents feel Noah is not suitable for their daughter and immediately put the kibosh on the blossoming romance. Seven years later, the two meet again and quickly realize the old flame still burns bright. Ally is now faced with the dilemma of marrying a man her family approves of or going back with her one true love. Starring Presley Hart and Richie Calhoun also known as Richie’s Brain in the Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling roles; plus Kimberly Kane, Lia Lor, Lily LaBeau, Logan Pierce and Johnny Castle.

Here’s a QuickTime trailer of the movie (definitely NSFW!)

So let’s run this thing down. The story is familiar, working class guy catches high class girl against girl’s family’s wishes. Family pressure breaks them apart, a misunderstanding occurs despite the fact they love each other, life happens taking them in different directions, and they reconcile at the end. Now they actually spend a lot of time on the story, and must have had a pretty limited budget since the ‘green screen’ stuff is hilarious. We were laughing and having a good time as the movie plot and story was established since it was like a high school production of a play turned into a movie, with about as good of special effects. Then they did a traditional “real” RomCom style home-movie montage with soundtrack backing it. Very cute and well done, actually.

As the story progresses, and the falling in love part happens, so does the sex. The first scene is with the main guy’s brother or friend and his girlfriend, on a picnic blanket. There appeared to be a glued on fake pubic hair, or merkin, as they call it. We were laughing about that too as they were getting it on.

They main characters have an It’s a Wonderful Life moment of wanting to buy and fix up an old house, and are interrupted in their first time having sex and split apart shortly thereafter. I won’t ruin the story arc and save the spoilers, but suffice to say they get back together at the end in a really passionate affair that is more real feeling than nearly every other movie of this sort we’ve seen. It’s more powerful, but on par, with the last scene in Lost and Found, which we also liked. You can find Diary of Love (XXX Adaption of the Notebook) here, or click on link below.

Happy fucking!
